[2014] Victoria de Durango, durango MX

Mi mama is from the northern Mexican State of Durango. Durango lies at the foot of the Sierra Madre, home of Pancho Villa and John Wayne's Western films, famous for it's landscapes, scorpions, and el pasito durangense. These photos were taken on my first trip back after 10 years. Coming back to my roots was as sweet and warm as a fresh batch of my tia's gorditas de harina; a reunion filled with joy, laughter, music, dance, and so much food.
