Children’s Creativity Museum (2024)
An illustration commissioned by the Children’s Creativity Museum to stand as a part of their AR virtual mural walking tour in San Francisco.
I chose to approach the brief centered around intergenerational growth in a way that stayed true to my home here in the bay. As someone who found ethnic studies in college and loves it deeply for all its given me, I find even deeper love and duty to it In it being founded here at home. What a gift to share home with ethnic studies, what a gift to watch movements unfold here at home and understand the movements that came before and the influences they’ve created. From I-hotel to the third world liberation front,
I made this illustration in honor of those who continue passing down our communal knowledge and resistance just as it was passed down to them. May we never get lost and forget that resistance is forever an intergenerational movement. To respect the movements before us, is to fight for those after us
